The daily traffic congestion in Noida wastes time, money, and stress. The district will improve traffic flow within the seven rings of Noida and Greater Noida as part of the new traffic management system that Gautam Buddha Nagar Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh has implemented. To improve traffic management in specific regions, the new method separates the district into two zones.
Traffic reduction in Zone 1 of Noida
The new traffic system should ease traffic in Zone 1 and reduce traffic personnel workload, according to Suniti, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic). By rearranging some regions from Zone 1 to Zone 2, traffic distribution and management are improved.
- Sector 20, Phase 1, and Sector 24 make up Circle 1
- Sector 20, Phase 1, and Sector 24 in the first loop are often congested.
- The second circle includes sectors 24, 58, 63, Phase 3, and 113.
- Sectors 24, 58, 63, Phase 3, and 113 comprise Circle 2. The new circle improves traffic flow by including these heavily trafficked areas.
- Sectors 126, 39, and the motorway make up Circle 3
- This zone streamlines traffic to Sector 126, Sector 39, and the Motorway.
- The fourth circle is Sector 49, Sector 142, Phase 2.
- Sector 49, Sector 142, Phase 2, and others are included in Circle 4.
Greater Noida Traffic Management Zone 2
- In Zone 2, three traffic circles regulate traffic in Greater Noida, a congested area.
- Ecotech 3, Bisrakh, Badalpur, Dadri, and Jarcha make up Circle 5
- Traffic congestion has been a problem in Circle 5, Ecotech 3, Bisrakh, Badalpur, Dadri, and Jarcha.
- Surajpur, Knowledge Park, Beta 2, and Kasna are all part of Circle 6
- In Greater Noida, Circle 6 streamlines traffic in Surajpur, Knowledge Park, Beta 2, and Kasna.
- Ecotech 1, Dankaur, Rabupura, and Jewar form Circle 7
- In Circle 7, traffic is handled in Ecotech 1, Dankaur, Rabupura, and Jewar.
Solutions
According to Ashutosh Singh, Traffic Inspector, each zone will be under the supervision of two Assistant CP , and each circle will be under the supervision of one traffic inspector. Traffic cops now work in their zones, speeding up the resolution of traffic issues. Staff were previously assigned based on demand, slowing down the resolution process.
By dividing districts into manageable zones and circles, authorities hope to enhance traffic flow, travel times, and overall transportation experiences in Noida and Greater Noida.
